NJ ACE Women convene to connect, network and share campus experiences

More than 50 higher education leaders from across New Jersey gathered recently at Bloomfield College for a NJ ACE Women’s Network event. The organization’s wine and cheese social was hosted by Bloomfield College President Marcheta Evans, Ph.D. (also the presidential sponsor for NJ ACE) and drew professionals eager to connect and catch up.

“It was a great experience. Great people, food, and fellowship,” one participant shared in a follow-up survey after the experience. “I’m amazed to have had the opportunity to meet many higher education professionals who I plan to stay in contact with, and form a collaboration,” said another attendee.

Board members are planning a full year of experiences designed to help NJ leaders reconnect—virtually and in-person—around the IDEALS of the organization: to actively identify, develop, encourage, advance, link and support women in higher education. The event schedule includes another wine and cheese social, slated for October 6 at B2 Bistro and Bar in Toms River, and a virtual Women of Color Conference, to be held online Friday, October 28.
