ACE Women’s Network – New Jersey, the statewide organization committed to the professional development of women in higher education roles in New Jersey, will hold its Women of Color Conference from 8 am – 3 pm on Friday, October 26 at Ramapo College of New Jersey. The professional development and networking conference is a hallmark event for the Garden State’s Ace Women’s Network, which has been dedicated to advancing women leaders in higher education for 40 years.
Key Note Speaker
Robin Walton, is the Vice President for Community and Government Affairs at Thomas Edison State University. In this capacity, she manages the University’s relationships with federal, state and local governments, regulatory agencies, key policymakers and community stakeholders.
Robin develops University’s annual legislative agenda and works to ensure that the University’s legislative priorities receive attention on the federal and state level. Robin represents the University in dealings with local government and community stakeholders in the central New Jersey regional area. Furthermore, the division of Community and Government Affairs, under her direction, enhances Thomas Edison State University’s image and reputation through effective community outreach.
Ndidi Oriji, as the Senior Vice President of Advertising Standards at NBC Universal Ms. Oriji leads a department tasked with the review of all advertising airing on the NBC broadcast network, certain advertising airing on NBCUniversal’s national cable networks (including USA, E!, Bravo, and SyFy), and all custom advertising content produced by the broadcast network.
She also manages legal and reputational risk to NBCUniversal when advertising standards issues arise. She has a B.A. in Law and Society/Black Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara, CA. and her JD in Law from New York University School of Law.
