A life of leadership, scholarship and service
Under Dr. Jebb’s leadership, Ramapo opened the doors to the award-winning renovated Potter Library and new Mercer Learning Commons, secured $32M from the state for a transformative renovation of a residence hall to serve as a hub for student well-being, hosted noteworthy guest speakers, advanced a strategic reorganization, and continues to earn regional and national accolades. Demand for a Ramapo College education continues to increase with the Fall 2023 entering class becoming the second largest and most diverse in Ramapo College history. In addition, the College has been awarded prestigious federal, state, and private grants and is effectively competing for Rhodes, Truman, and Gilman Fellowships.
In addition to the NJ ACE Women’s Network, Dr. Jebb lends her leadership experience to prominent organizations and Boards including service as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors, Workforce Opportunity Services, West Point Jewish Chapel Fund, Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, Army Historical Foundation, and the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities.
Dr. Jebb introduced a new tradition at Ramapo College during her first year – the Ramapo College Presidential Coin. The coin, which was designed by students, is bestowed by the President upon members of the community who demonstrate the values of being bold, being kind, and being good teammates.
She holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an M.A. in Political Science from Duke, an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Duke University. Dr. Jebb and her husband have four grown children (including their daughter-in-law) and one grandchild.
About NJ ACE Presidential Sponsors
In general, presidential sponsors serve as advisors and mentors to the state chairs and state planning boards. Presidential sponsors assist in many ways, including nominating women to provide leadership of the state network, attending regional and national leadership events, and providing moral support/professional guidance. They also support and develop strategies that meet the specific needs of women in higher education within the state.
